Haitians Say Lincoln Was Gay
Union Square Rally
On the way home from work tonight I stopped by Union Square in manhattan. An open-mike rally was going on with 2 signs that read 'Bush Engineered 9-11' and 'Stop the Polic State' joined together by a short, fat woman.
'Who started the constitution? Who? Lincoln! Did you know that Lincoln was gay!?' some haitian guy was shouting into the megaphone.When everyone laughed at him he got pissed and started shouting 'YOu guys always used the haitians when you want to make a point!' over and over again.
The short fat woman wrested the microphone from him. Started mumbling about how the republicans stole her medicine.
The two signs that she was holding together came apart and both fell down. Someone* yelled "Bush did it! Bush engineered taking down your signs!" I swear some people looked around.
After that people broke up and, as always in Union Square, the palestinians took the floor but I was already in the subway.
* Ok, it was me who screamed it.
